AMRITA ARORA

Amrita Arora was born January 31 1981. She is an Indian actress.

Born in Bombay, India to a Malayali mother and a Punjabi father, she is the sister of Malaika Arora. Her brother-in-law is Arbaaz Khan, the brother of Salman Khan. Her father died of cancer when she was 10. She was romantically linked to Kevin Otter, Upen Patel and Ashmit Patel. Currently, she is dating Usman Afzaal.

She made her debut opposite Fardeen Khan with the film Kitne Door Kitne Paas which was not successful at the box office. Her first successful movie was Awara Paagal Deewana. A series of flop followed, among them the controversial Girlfriend (2004) opposite Isha Koppikar. Her latest release was Fight Club(2006) produced by Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan's brother. She appeared on the show Koffee with Karan, hosted by Karan Johar with her sister.

POOJA BATRA

Pooja Batra (Hindi: पूज बत्रा, Urdu: پُوج بترا) ,born on October 27, 1973 in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, is an Indian actress. She shot to fame in the early 90's when she was crowned Miss India in 1993. Her mother, Neelam Batra, was a participant in Miss India 1971. Her father was an army colonel. Pooja Batra is married to an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Sonu Ahluwalia, and resides in Los Angeles, California.

Before she was born, Pooja's father was wounded in the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. She was more the athlete growing up. Pooja majored in Economics at the Fergusson College.

Pooja turned down many offers before signing a contract with the Virasat Film Studio. She was the first Indian face to market a dandruff shampoo.She is the life member of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy Of Film & Television,Noida.

Ajay Devgan Biography

Both the debutantes of a hit film titled Phool Aur Kaante of the early 90s had one thing in common in store for them; they would be recognized very well in their consecutive films.

Madhu's portrayal in and as Roja will forever stay in viewers minds. And Ajay Devgan has reached superstardom with a series of well-enacted roles in some good films.

Though the Devgan boy shifted from doing dishum dishum stuff quite sometime back, the definite departure was noticed in Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha.

Son of ace fight-master Veeru Devgan, Ajay was exposed to films at a very early age. He accompanied his father on several occasions to film set-ups and shooting schedules. At his age, he must have been impressed by the stunts his father directed. So, when he grew up and entered films, Ajay did some hair-raising stunts in his films.

Being the son of a fight master and fond of performing stunts, Devgan's earlier films were more of the violent nature. The trend in his career changed with Ishq, a soft romantic comedy where he was paired opposite Kajol.

Soon, Ajay's potential as a romantic hero capable of delivering emotional performances was discovered and the actor did not mind the change. After a couple of films came Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Ajay became hot property.

Shilpa Shetty was born on 8th June 1975 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She belongs to the Bunt community in Mangalore and speaks Tulu. Her parents are Sunanda and Surendra who are into manufacturing tamper proof caps for the pharmaceutical industry. She has a younger sister Shamita who is an actress too.

She turned down an offer to be part of the soap East Enders.

It evoked a strong response internationally. She was applauded for handling it with grace but was also accused of using it to promote herself.

She was in trouble when Richard Gere kissed her during an AIDS Awareness event. There were protests against this as it was said to be “against Indian culture”.

1993 to 1997 Shilpa Shetty’s first movie was Baazigar (1993) in which she had a few scenes before getting thrown off the terrace. The movie was one of the biggest hits of the year. She acted opposite Akshay Kumar in Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994) which was also successful. She had average to moderate success in movies like Hathkadi, Chote Sarkar and Himmat in 1996 and Dus, Insaaf and Zameer in 1997.

1998 to 2003 She was seen in Pardesi Babu (1998) with Govinda and Jaanwar (1999) with Akshay Kumar and Karishma Kapoor. She appeared in an item number in Shool (1999). Dhadkan (2000) performed well and she did a great job as Anjali torn between her husband and former lover.

She acted in Telugu and Kannada movies like Bhalevadivi Basu and Madhuve Agona Ba in 2001. She was nominated for the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress for her role in Rishtey (2002) as a fisherwoman. Her other releases in 2002 included Junoon, Badhaai Ho Badhaai and Chor Machaaye Shor.

2004 to 2009 In 2004, Shilpa Shetty was seen in Phir Milenge with Salman Khan and Abhishek Bacchan as Tamanna, an AIDS patient. She came together for the first time onscreen with her sister Shamita in Fareb (2005). She received positive reviews for her role in Life in a Metro (2007). She was seen in a song sequence in Dostana (2008). She will be seen in Sunny Deol’s The Man.
